While the minutes of the latest FOMC meeting show a split as to whether there will be the need to raise interest rates further, the balance still leans more towards a pause in June. An impasse in debt ceiling negotiations, tight financial conditions, and forthcoming inflation data will all play a crucial role in determining the outcome.
