The massive challenges now facing Germany
Expect slow, soft, and gradual economic change in Germany, not least because the likely new Chancellor, Friedrich Merz, needs to form a governing coalition. That's according to ING's Carsten Brzeski, who's expecting tax cuts and renewed investment in the coming years. But we're unlikely to get the 'Wirtschaftswunder' - the economic miracle - seen after the Second World War.
