Why 2021 is such an important year for market rates
This year is shaping up to be a really important year for market rates in terms of their influence on the financial system. And it's a story made in America. With Covid vaccines being rolled out, we could easily see a 5% growth rate in the States. The bond markets saw this coming and the 10-year broke 1% earlier this month. We think that process will continue. But as ING's Padhraic Garvey tells us from New York, there could well be casualties.
